Taking breaks — volunteers may take breaks whenever needed; just let a staff member know

Communication with staff — please let staff know in advance if you need to leave

Adult volunteers — adults may leave as they wish

Youth volunteers — youth without an accompanying adult may not leave without advance staff permission and parent/guardian approval

Verification forms — we offer forms verifying volunteer time for work, school, homeschool, or personal records

Filling out the form — volunteers fill in the form and track their own hours; a staff member must sign off

Yes, youth volunteers earn Library Bucks for their time.

Tracking bucks — youth or their parent/guardian must track their own time for buck totals

Buck totals — up to 1 hour = 1 buck, up to 4 hours = 3 bucks, up to 6 hours = 5 bucks, and 6+ hours = 7 bucks

Bonus bucks — staff may award bonus bucks at their discretion for exceptional effort or helpfulness

Buck deductions — bucks may be lost for repeatedly not following directions or showing disrespectful behavior
