We couldn’t do all the things we do for our community without the generosity of our local supporters. We are beyond grateful for their help, time, provision, and encouragement. Their kindness strengthens our programs, expands our resources, and allows us to offer even more to the families we serve. We truly cannot say thank you enough.
The supporters listed below represent those who assist the library on a regular or ongoing basis, but they are only a portion of the many people and groups who help us throughout the year. Our community is filled with individuals, families, and organizations who give what they can — whether it’s a one‑time contribution or continuous involvement — and every act of support is welcome and deeply appreciated. We are grateful for all who choose to help the library serve Capon Bridge.
Our Patrons
One of our greatest supporters is our patrons. Without patrons walking through our doors, there would be no library. The individuals and families who donate items, volunteer their time, and show up for programs are a tremendous help — their involvement keeps our events running smoothly, strengthens our resources, and allows us to offer even more to the community we serve.

Friends of the Library (FoL)
The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the library through fundraising and hands‑on help. Their work assists us in being able to offer our community even more — with additional materials, resources, and support for library events.
All are welcome to attend the monthly meeting — come learn more, explore volunteer opportunities, or join the group if you’d like to support the library in a meaningful way. New faces and fresh ideas are always appreciated. For meeting dates and times, please check our event calendar.

American Legion Ladies Auxillary
The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary is a dedicated community supporter, actively involved in serving families, veterans, and local organizations throughout the year. They help host the end‑of‑school‑year picnic by providing lunch for the kids, support back‑to‑school drives, collect items for local food pantries, uplift local veterans, and contribute to many other community needs.
Their support of the library is just as meaningful. During the school year, they visit our Story Time once a month — reading a story, providing a craft for the children, and bringing goodies for the kids to enjoy. They also offer additional help throughout the year, including small flags for the children in July, volunteering their time, making monetary donations, donating books, and providing other thoughtful contributions that enrich our programs and brighten the experiences of the families we serve.
Capon Bridge United Methodist Church
Capon Bridge United Methodist Church is a faithful community supporter, regularly providing funds to various local organizations and rotating their assistance throughout the year to meet community needs. The Women of Faith within the church serve the community in many meaningful ways — collecting donations for food pantries, supporting school functions, helping with meals at community events, and offering encouragement wherever it’s needed.
Their support of the library has been generous and ongoing. The church has provided monetary donations many times, helping us strengthen programs and resources. The Women of Faith have also volunteered their time to assist with library events, offered their own monetary contributions, donated books, and provided other thoughtful help that enriches our programs and supports the families we serve.
El Puente
El Puente has been a valued community supporter for many years. Each summer, they generously provide free kids‑meal gift cards for every child who completes our Summer Reading Program. Their ongoing support helps us celebrate our readers and makes the program even more special for local families.
The Kettle Stop
The Kettle Stop plays a vibrant role in our community by hosting monthly markets throughout the year, giving small businesses and handcrafters a welcoming place to share their work and connect with local residents. Their commitment to uplifting others has extended to the library in many meaningful ways.
They have supported our programs by providing free goodies such as gift certificates for Summer Reading Program attendees, and when they learned about our teen volunteer program, they generously offered gift certificates for our youth volunteers as well. Over the past few years, they have also provided snow cones for our Summer Reading Program and have contributed additional treats and giveaways for library events over the years.
Muse Landscaping
Muse Landscaping is a steady community supporter, regularly uplifting local businesses by sharing events, spreading the word, and encouraging community engagement. Their commitment to helping others shows up all year long — and the library has been blessed by their generosity many times.
They’ve assisted with our annual clean‑up day, helping keep our grounds welcoming for patrons. Right now, they’re also hosting a donation trailer in our parking lot to collect items for West Virginia flood victims, making it easier for our community to give support where it’s needed most.
Paula’s Florals
Paula’s Florals & Crafts is a thoughtful community supporter who brings beauty and kindness into the library all year long. Paula creates handcrafted wreaths and floral arrangements — from home décor pieces to grave arrangements — and displays them in the library for patrons to purchase.
Her pricing reflects her heart for the community: she offers her creations at truly accessible, community‑friendly prices, making it easy for families to bring home something beautiful. For every item sold through the library, Paula donates 50% of the sale back to us, turning her creativity into meaningful support for our programs and resources.
Rain Crow
Rain Crow is a local band deeply rooted in our community, regularly using their music to uplift and support local organizations. They host fundraiser concerts throughout the year for groups such as the American Legion, the fire department, local schools, and many others. You’ll also find them performing at beloved community events like Founders’ Day, firework celebrations, and other gatherings that bring Capon Bridge together.
Their support of the library has been generous and long‑standing. Rain Crow has held fundraiser concerts at our outdoor pavilion for years, helping us raise funds while giving the community a fun and meaningful way to come together. Their music, kindness, and commitment make a lasting impact on the families we serve.
Ree’s Sweets & Treats
Rees Sweets & Treats plays an active role in our community by opening their parking lot to small‑business food trucks and the local farmers market, giving local makers and vendors a welcoming place to connect with residents. They’re also the go‑to stop for local fireworks, adding to the fun of community celebrations throughout the year.
They’ve supported the library by providing gift certificates for our Summer Reading Program attendees and generously offering additional certificates for our teen volunteers. Their ongoing kindness helps us celebrate our readers and recognize the hard work of our youth volunteers.
The River House
The River House is a vibrant community supporter, known for hosting a wide variety of events that bring creativity, music, and connection to Capon Bridge. Throughout the year, they offer concerts, markets, artist showcases, kids’ art sessions, and many other gatherings that enrich our community and support local makers.
The library and River House collaborate often, coordinating activities for local events, sharing each other’s programs, and working together to help families enjoy everything our town has to offer. Their commitment to community engagement and creative expression makes them a valued part of the support network that helps the library thrive.
Ruritan
The Capon Bridge Ruritan is a dedicated community supporter, working year‑round to strengthen and serve our town. They host community BBQ and bake sale fundraisers, lead service projects such as trash clean‑ups, and volunteer at local events — including serving food at free community dinners. They also help organize and host our town’s Founders’ Day celebrations, offer scholarships for high school students, and contribute to many other efforts that benefit families across the area.
Their support of the library has been generous and appreciated. The Ruritan has volunteered their time, assisted with our clean‑up days, provided monetary donations, and offered additional help whenever they can. Their commitment to community service makes a meaningful difference in the programs and experiences we’re able to offer.
Twisted Timbers Cafe & Country Store
Twisted Timbers Café & Country Store has long been a generous community supporter, uplifting many local groups by spreading the word, sharing events, and encouraging community involvement. Their support has made a meaningful difference for our library as well.
This summer, Twisted Timbers provided free water each week and offered special discounts to our Summer Reading Program attendees. They are also supplying coupons for our teen volunteer program, helping us celebrate and encourage the hard work of our youth volunteers.
WordPlay Connects
WordPlay Connects is a wonderful community supporter that brings the joy of reading to children throughout the region. They visit the library multiple times a year, providing free books for kids and creating exciting themed giveaways that match the season or event. Their selections often include both fiction and non‑fiction titles for a wide range of ages — from history‑themed books for our America 250 celebrations to Christmas‑themed stories during the holiday season, and many other thoughtful themes throughout the year.
WordPlay Connects offers these same opportunities at various locations across the surrounding area, helping families discover new stories and encouraging a love of reading wherever they go. Their generosity and creativity make a meaningful impact on our young readers and the community we serve.
